Center for Digestive Laparoscopic Surgery

We are a group of general and laparoscopic surgeons in Costa Rica, dedicated to the treatment of most of the GASTROINTESTINAL DISEASES, benign and malignant, under both conventional and laparoscopic or minimally invasive procedures and by a multispecialty approach.

The group's experience is focused on DIGESTIVE SURGERY, meaning open conventional and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery for diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon and rectum, gallbladder and biliary tract, spleen, abdominal wall defects (hernias), among others.        

We have a specific and broad experience on the management of EARLY AND ADVANCED GASTRIC CANCER, with conventional and laparoscopic approach, and also treating the complications related to the treatment of this disease. Our experience on gastric cancer is based upon japanese standards.

One of the most important digestive and metabolic pathologies in the recent years worldwide is OBESITY AND MORBID OBESITY. We are advocated to an interdisciplinary approach of the disease and from the surgical point of view, the treatment with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and  laparoscopic gastric bypass.

​We have trained in Japan, United States, France, South Korea, with the most advanced techniques in minimally invasive surgery.
